How to repair and maintenance automotive shock absorbers?
In order to make the frame and body vibrations decay rapidly, improving automotive riding comfort, the auto suspension systems are generally equipped with Shock Absorbers.
Automotive shock absorber is used in the process of wearing parts, its work is good or bad, will directly affect the stability and other parts of the life of the cars, so we should make shock absorbers always in good working condition.
The following methods can test whether the shock absorber is work good.
Making the car on the road conditions are poor road after traveling 10km parking, touch shell shock, if not hot enough, indicating no internal shock resistance, shock absorbers do not work.
At this point, you can add the proper lubricant, and then to test if the case of fever, compared with internal shock absorber oil, should add a little oil;
otherwise, indicating shock absorber failure; bumper firmly press and release If the car has a 2 to 3 times a jump, then the shock absorber works well; when the car slowly driving and emergency braking, if the car more intense vibration, indicating a problem with the shock absorber;
remove the shock absorber to be upright, and the lower end of the connecting ring in the vise clamp, pull compression damping rod several times, then there should be a stable resistance, pull up resistance should be greater than the resistance when pressed down, such as resistance to unstable or no resistance, may internal shock absorber valve parts lacking fuel or damage should be repaired or replaced.
In determining the shock absorber problem or failure, it should first check whether the damper oil spills or traces of old oil spills.
Seal gaskets, gasket rupture damaged oil storage cylinder head nut loose.
May be seal, seal washers failure, should be replaced with new seals. If you still can not eliminate the leak, shock absorbers should be pulled out, if there was not a time card or severity, further check clearance between the piston and the cylinder is too large, whether the damper piston rod bending, piston rod whether the cylinder surface and scratch or pull marks.
If the damper does not leak phenomenon, you should check the damper connecting pins, connecting rods, connecting hole, rubber bushings and other damage, sealing off, break or fall off place.
If these were normal, should be further decomposed shock absorbers, check with the gap between the piston and the cylinder is too large, the cylinder without injury, the valve seal is good, valves and valve seat are tight fitting and cut
Dilatation spring shock absorber is too soft or broken, take grinding or replacement parts repair methods depending on the circumstances.
Further, the shock absorber in the actual use beep fault occurs, mainly due to shock absorbers with springs, frame or shaft collision, damage or loss, and the damper pad dust tube deformation, oil lack of other causes, reasons should be identified, to be repaired.
After the inspection, repair the shock absorber should work in a special test rig performance test, when 1mm when resistance frequencies 100 ±, its done stroke stroke and compression resistance should meet the requirements, showed normal shock absorber.
